@JoaquinJack27-the … @JoaquinJack27-the idea of a gay non-phallocentric man sounds like the answer to my prayers! However, I do worry that a gay mans interest in gay transguys could easily be read as a fetish rather than a genuine interest in the person?
I recently had a … I recently had a gay man contact me interested in me as trans, which I thought was a little strange because normally a trans gay doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in with a gay guy, which sucks when you ARE gay. But I discovered that there is actually the rare gay guy who is not only uninterested but DISinterested in the penis. This guy more wanted to be with a male-minded person, but without the genitals, which I actually thought was pretty cool. Gay + Non-phallocentric = SCORE?!?!!
girls always expect … girls always expect something from a guy idk why i dont really expect anything from a guy but honesty and friendship you seem like the perfect guy its hard to find a guy like u
I’ve had many … I’ve had many experiences where straight women have identified me as a good kind of different, something that they couldn’t put their finger on. Out of these women, a good number have assumed that I’m gay, expressing this either to my face or through a friend.
For the most part, I really enjoy interacting with women like this. I like being non-threatening, but I sometimes hit a rough patch. I might be interested, but she’s too used to seeing me as a gay male friend to think of me differently.
Just curious, would … Just curious, would you ever date a female bodied gender queer and/or a no-ho no-op transmasculine female?
And do you know anything about gay men dating transmen? I have one transguy buddy who has dated a gay man, but that is the only case I have heard of, at least within the queer community here in Santa Cruz. I have always wondered how the dynamic would work, as I know some of my gay male friends can be quite phallocentric. I’d like to think that people could overlook ones lack of a penis…
I see this kind of … I see this kind of insecurity with a lot of my straight female friends, and it breaks my heart that so many of them have so much baggage around sex and men. It’s hard to even start trying to undo a lot of the damage, it goes way deep.
Wow Charles, you’ve … Wow Charles, you’ve vocalized frustrations that I used to have when trying to find a girl to date. Except it was so confusing to me that I could never figure out why I had such rotten luck.
So far dating gay girls isn’t really much easier. Ironically like you mentioned, I definitely know what I want more than I did when I was younger, and I’m less likely to compromise on some points. Bottom line: dating girls isn’t easy for anybody?
Thanks for posting … Thanks for posting this, it has been my major question regarding women. I never knew there were ‘straight’ women that would date us transguys. It’s cool, reading the comments below that ‘straight’ women that date transguys exist.

previous relationships, and may lack the maturity to handle a deeper relationship and it may have nothing to do with being trans. Sometimes people project their inadequacies on to others instead of dealing with what is really going on with themselves.
Great video, and I … Great video, and I think you dead on. Its funny how people preceive you if they did not know you prior to transition. I like to think of transmen as more of a hybrid man. We know what women have been through due to our previous lives before transition.
you are so right. I … you are so right. I have yet to date a straight woman, but every thing you are saying is very true. I am in love with a girl who is 19 (I am 28). I think she still isn’t ready for a real relationship. She has always been abused by guys and she still feels like she has to be in a relationship with them. I do not get it. I think that because I am trans, she thinks I am inadequate.
